MMIC Technology Solutions Can Help Minnesota Clinics Complete Grant Application

As part of the Governor of Minnesota's e-Health initiative, the Minnesota Legislature has made $1,300,000 available in grants to support the adoption and use of interoperable electronic health records in rural and underserved areas. The intent is to advance the MN e-Health roadmap by encouraging and supporting community e-Health collaboratives in settings that might not otherwise be able to fully afford the investment in health information technology. The grant program goals include adoption and use of health information technology, as well as health information exchange among different health care organizations within a community. Grants are available to new or existing community collaboratives only; that is, to three or more corporately or governmentally distinct health care organizations working together to better serve a community.
