HOURS: Full time - 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, flex time available
RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for managing business support projects across functional areas, including project proposal analysis, project planning, project execution, project monitoring and controlling, project team oversight, research and analysis, and communications. Provides a proactive interface between internal customers and technical staff/vendors to ensure effective definition and delivery of business.
Position Requirements and Specifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, insurance, computer science, or equivalent preferred.
At least five years business and/or information technology experience in a complex business environment; experience in medical malpractice insurance industry preferred.
Strong knowledge/understanding of insurance industry concepts and practices.
At least five years of proven project management and leadership experience, including the ability to lead a project team in multiple different project methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, etc.)
Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and facilitation.
Strong analytical, judgment, and problem solving skills.
Ability to analyze data and information from various perspectives.
Strong knowledge/understanding of medical malpractice insurance industry.
Strong organizational and time management skills, including ability to manage several large projects simultaneously.
Proven ability to develop operational processes and procedures, including designing and documenting detailed process flows, and the development of operational performance and quality metric standards and reports.
Proven experience working with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel and developing and maintaining various analyses and reporting tools.
Advanced technology skills in Microsoft Office and proven technological capabilities in other applications and programs.
Ability to think strategically and tactically simultaneously.
Ability to think outside the box, support and promote creative thought throughout the workforce.
Ability to provide direction and influence the actions of others without direct authority.
Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) highly preferred.
PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification a plus.

Major Position Accountabilities:
Responsible for the management and successful execution of projects and oversight to project teams. Oversees all aspects of projects, including cost, time, scope, communications, risk, quality, procurement and resource management. Manages vendor relationships, including establishing expectations, monitoring quality and productivity, and acting as liaison between business and vendor. Unravels, defines, and documents complex business requirements and processes. Leads design and business process modelling sessions with technical and business staff. Identifies and removes obstacles to project completion. Maintains complete project documentation.
Works with Project Office Manager to develop and refine processes, metrics, tools, and templates to manage projects. Teaches and mentors others around project management concepts, approaches, tools, and best practices.
