Benefits you’d expect from a Top Workplace
Above average compensation. We aim to provide each employee with more than fair cash compensation that includes a mix of market-competitive base pay, SPOT bonuses for extraordinary achievements within the workplace, and long-term cash and incentive bonuses. And we pay above market for those jobs that create long-term value for our company.
Health and dental. MMIC covers 100 percent of dental premiums for you and your family and pays a larger portion of medical premiums than our competitors.
Flexible spending accounts. Employees with out-of-pocket dependent care, medical or dental expenses can set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for them. Expenses for office visits, deductibles, copays and daycare fees typically qualify.
Life and disability insurance. Employees receive group term life insurance that pays three times their salary (up to a maximum of $500,000), as well as long-term disability insurance for continuing income after 90 days of disability due to injury or illness.
401(k) match. MMIC matches 50 cents to the dollar for employees who contribute up to 4% of their annual salaries.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Employees have access to a variety of services designed to support their mental and physical wellbeing and balance their work and home lives.
Pension plan. Yes, you read that right — a pension plan. We contribute 8% of an employee's salary directly into a defined contribution pension plan, with no waiting period for participation.
Time off. MMIC offers a generous amount of time off including vacation, sick leave and holidays. And we encourage employees to take extended vacations, rather than a day here and there, to realize the full health benefits of time off from work.
Tuition reimbursement. Employees can receive tuition reimbursement for qualified degree programs. MMIC also encourages and pays for continuing education and professional development expenses.
Telecommuting and flexible work arrangements. We know that being at your daughter’s first dance recital is just as important as a face-to-face meeting with your top client. That’s why MMIC offers telecommuting and other flexible work arrangements, allowing employees to do their jobs where and when they do them best. Nearly half of our staff currently telecommutes (from 11 states) and nearly all enjoy flexible work arrangements. Both employees and policyholders benefit from this localized model.
