The Minnesota Medical Association and a group of physicians who are concerned about rising medical professional liability insurance premiums and the availability of insurance for physicians begin to work with American Health Systems of California to form Minnesota Medical Insurance Exchange (MMIE).

MMIE is set up as a reciprocal under Chapter 71A of the Minnesota Statutes.

Why Choose MMIC

At MMIC, we do much more than sell medical liability insurance. We’re a mutual company, meaning we’re owned by our policyholders.
