MMIC Technology Solutions changes name

Minneapolis, MN (Jan. 11, 2010) – MMIC Technology Solutions has changed its name to “MMIC Health IT,” in conjunction with the launch of MMIC Group’s new branding initiative. The company made the updates to support its new mission, “to promote and protect the practice of good medicine.”

According to Vice President Steve Heimel, “We feel that the name ‘Health IT’ better represents the consulting, advising and problem-solving we offer to our customers. It also characterizes the ongoing partnership and support our team has provided throughout the years.”

MMIC Health IT serves more than 1,500 physicians, including large and small practices, in a variety of settings and specialties. “The experience of our implementation, network and development teams allows us to provide services to group practices, regardless of the systems they are using,” said Heimel.
