Topics

  • Evolving Models of Care: Eight Questions to Ask Before Diving into Telemedicine

Health care providers and organizations today are serving greater numbers of patients, many with chronic conditions needing long-term management. In addition, there are demands for improved access and greater value. This program will cover eight questions to ask before diving into evolving and changing ways of delivering health care.

This session will provide you with the knowledge to:
    1. Discuss how telemedicine is evolving and changing the delivery of health care.
    2. Identify the barriers, challenges and risks involved in providing virtual care.
    3. Implement strategies to mitigate risk and enhance patient safety.

  • Driving with Ambulatory Data: Harnessing Practice Intelligence for Improved Outcomes

Health care organizations are surrounded by data, but starving for data intelligence that is meaningful, practical and actionable in their efforts to address and reduce clinical and operational risks. MMIC’s Innovative Solutions team is collaborating with health care organizations to enhance risk mitigation by improving data feeds so that critical and meaningful information is easily available and understandable.

This session will provide you with the knowledge to:
    1. Elevate the conversation on how ambulatory data is evolving and used to enhance the delivery of health care.
    2. Identify the barriers, challenges and risks involved in data intelligence.
    3. Guidance on how to implement and augment your current enterprise strategy to assist in mitigating risk.

  • Rethinking Pain Management for Community Health and Safety

Treating patients with chronic pain is complex and frustrations are high among both providers and patients. According to the CDC, our nation is in the midst of an unprecedented prescription opioid epidemic. Federal and state agencies, along with specialty societies, are releasing prescribing guidelines aimed at reducing the supply of and demand for narcotic medications.

This session will provide you with the knowledge to:
    1. Understand the scope of the chronic pain and prescription pain medication problem in the U.S.
    2. Identify risks involved in treating chronic pain patients and prescribing pain medication.
    3. List solutions to enhance patient safety and reduce liability risks.
