Patrick Fiedler, partner Axley Brynelson
Patrick Fiedler is a member of the Litigation Practice Group. Mr. Fiedler has significant courtroom experience, both as a trial lawyer and as a judge. Prior to joining Axley, Mr. Fiedler was a circuit judge in Dane County, Wisconsin for 18 years. During his time on the bench, he handled thousands of cases in every type of area, including civil claims, family law and criminal law. As a lawyer, he tried 62 jury trials in state and federal courts, as well as numerous court trials. He also served as the United States Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin for 3 ½ years during 1987 – 2001.
Mr. Fiedler’s extensive litigation background enables him to serve as a lawyer or a mediator/arbitrator on all types of disputed matters, including tort cases, construction cases, business disputes, and all types of family-related disputes.
Guy DuBeau, partner Axley Brynelson
Guy DuBeau is partner in the Axley Brynelson law firm in Madison Wisconsin. His practice centers on serving health care professionals both in defense of alleged medical negligence claims and in more traditional aspects of health care law. As a medical malpractice litigator, he has tried numerous cases to verdict in counties throughout the state. He has represented health care providers in multiple appeals, arguing as lead counsel before the State Supreme Court three times in addition to appearing as amicus curiae on behalf of industry trade groups in state appellate courts and in federal court.
Mr. DuBeau also advises health care clients on matters not involving litigation, including HIPAA and HITECH compliance, EMTALA, Stark and anti-kickback regulations, records compliance, peer review, HCQIA, medical staffing issues and patient care issues. He has represented numerous providers before the Department of Regulation and Licensing.
Mr. DuBeau is a frequent lecturer on a wide variety of issues to both health care providers and other attorneys through the State Bar, the Wisconsin Medical Society and private groups.
