Description: This webinar will provide an overview of the development and implementation of the Minnesota Time Out Process. The Minnesota Time Out Process is a human-factors based approach that involves the full team in pre-procedure verification of the patient, site, and procedure. In the five years since its development, the Minnesota Time Out has become the community standard in Minnesota, and is approved by the Joint Commission. Yet some facilities continue to face challenges in understanding and implementing the Minnesota Time Out. This webinar will discuss progress towards statewide adoption of the Minnesota Time Out, as well as providing tips and resources for all facilities to assist in their implementation of this important best practice in all areas of the organization where invasive procedures are performed.
